No-Bake Fudge Brownies

A rather large amount of Maltesers, Oreos and chocolate were consumed during the making of these brownies. I'm glad I got that off my chest.

No-Bake Fudge Brownies
adapted from Martha Stewart
Makes 24

340g dark chocolate, chopped
150ml evaporated milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups finely ground Oreo cookies
2 cups sweetened coconut flakes, plus extra for sprinkling
1 box Maltesers
1/4 teaspoon salt

Line a 23cm square baking dish with plastic wrap, leaving some to hang over the sides.

Heat the chocolate and evaporated milk in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth and glossy. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla. Stir again and reserve 1/3 cup of the mixture - this will be spread over the brownies.

Combine the Oreos, 2 cups of coconut, 1 cup of Maltesers and the salt in a bowl. Pour in the chocolate mixture and mix gently.

Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared dish. Spread the reserved 1/3 cup of chocolate over the top. Sprinkle the extra coconut over the chocolate and place rows of Maltesers evenly on top. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours. Remove brownies from pan by lifting the over-hanging plastic wrap. Remove the plastic and cut into 24 brownies.

The whole "no bake" part makes these extra dangerous! Too good!!!

If I attempted these, the Oreos would be gone in a flash! How simple - even I could make these. (I think.)

These look incredibly dangerous- candy ingredients AND no-bake!? I'd be surprised if the oreos and Maltesers even made it to the brownie :)

Thanks Dulce - I can't decide weather these are sooo good or sooo bad.

Hehe Little Kitchie. If there was ever a recipe that was "too easy for my own good", this would have to be it.

You can make these Patty, just don't blame me when you do, K?

BTW: buy extra Oreos, always a good tip.

Hey Dawn, thanks for stopping by. No Bake = No Sweat.

PS: I've just started following you on BlogLovin'. You have a great blog.

Thanks Yvonne. One of these is pretty much guaranteed to give you a sugar hit. But I usually have two just to make sure.

I've just started following you on BlogLovin'. I'm a serious bread/baking addict too. I'm sure I will be going back to your blog when I need a bread fix.

Hey Gabrielle - you think like I think... too much of a good thing is barely enough.

Hehe Natalie - Yes, they're for real - but sometimes they are in my dreams as well.

That fact that these are no-bake makes them ridiculously dangerous and delectable in my mind. How have I lived without these in my life! Yum!!

You are either going to thank me or blame me Pink Patisserie.
